I finally had time last week to connect with our Nail Jill Longley. I’m trying to grow out my Gel Nails. Switching to Shellac Polish.My pics aren’t great, But look at my Nails! No nicked or sore cuticles! No intense filing. Perfectly shaped and matched lengths! Great blend from old gels to my natural nail! Week 2 and they are perfect! I couldn’t be more thrilled to have a Tech who is gentle on the Nails, Professional and her services are met with perfection! Worth every penny!

I wanted to share! When your visiting your Nail Salon, Take a minute to look around! Are they following State regulations for their profession? I’ll share those in this post. Is the area the previous customer sat at sanitized before you? If you are nicked and bleed, Is that area being sealed by a sealant that’s has not touch others who have been nicked? Are the tools that were used before you visibly sanitized? A jar of liquid sanitizer should be present to place tips used in electric files. If you are getting a pedicure be sure you see that NO tools, Nippers , files , Are not used on you without being sanitized first. State prefers disposable plastic tub liners, Pedi file liner that are tossed along with the nail file. No matter how busy a nail salon is, They should never place a customer at area that has not been properly prepared for your safety and health. Fungal infections ARE extremely hard to rid of on your nails. Ask someone who’s had this happen.
Let’s talk the establishment itself! The appearance tells all! It is against board rules to have ANY animals, unless it is a service dog in the establishment.
It should be on a leash and contained if so! Chairs and work stations should be clean and in good repair. Trash cans aren’t over flowing. Floors are clean and establishment is organized. Dirty towels should not be left in tubs!
Please....Stop supporting these businesses who do not take health and sanitation serious! There are so many other salons. Visit Salons that care about your health and safety. Book with Professionals who work hard to provide a outstanding service , Spend the money on proper tools, Sanitation products and Run on a timely schedule.
Having been a educator for the College of Cosmetology, Inspections were common and educating in sanitation and rules was something I took very serious.

Having Nail Care services is a such a treat!!
