We've been busy making sampler size gift bags for the Basalt Holiday Market at Tacaw this coming Saturday!

What to do the ends of the soap that are cut so the bars are straight and smooth... Scrappy Soap! These gift bags contain 9 - 10oz of scrap ends of a variety of soaps. Now I know what you're thinking "what do you do with soap scraps?"

Well, lots of things besides the obvious of using it as well, soap. 1. Grate it, melt it and make new soap.
2. Put pieces in your dresser drawers to keep clothes smelling fresh.
3. Put a piece in your luggage to prevent musty smells.
4. Cut into smaller pieces to use as guest soaps.
5. Share with friends!

Introducing Blue Lotus, a new Mountain Meadows scent.

Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea), an absolute extracted from the flowers of the water lily family, Nymphaea, is renowned for its exotic fragrance. It is uplifting, creating a simultaneous sense of euphoria and peace. Its aroma is floral, sweet, and rich, with a subtle vanilla undertone. Blue Lotus possesses sedative, aphrodisiac, properties and said to enhance spiritual awakening, dream work, relaxation and intuition.

Blue Lotus is thought to be beneficial when applied topically to skin wounds and scars. Historically, it was used as a perfume and for various disorders, including anxiety and insomnia.

We’ve really enjoyed working with this new scent which is currently offered in a Body Oil and Lotion.

Bombs are everywhere…drink bombs, bath bombs and even shower bombs. There are lots of DYIs showing how to make them and they look so easy…until they aren’t.

This is what we want, pretty bath bombs for shower or bath with flower petals on top.

The reality is if you’re not really careful, you’ll end with Zombie Bombs. Yes, the mixture will activate and the Bombs will climb out of the molds! Push it back in, it creeps out…over and over again.

We’ll be at TACAW’s Mother’s Day Show on May 4th but we’re going to leave the Zombie Bombs at home.

I’m so ready for spring! It seems like my skin is always dry and flaky. My skin is very different in my 60’s vs 50’s. You start to lose collagen making it thin and dryer.

I read that adding about a quarter cup of finely ground oatmeal to a bath really helps relieve dry itchy skin. It’s sold as Colloidal Oatmeal.

I think it’s worth a try. So I got a book, filled the tub and added some oatmeal and soaked for about 15 to 20 minutes ( it was a good book!). I used our Shea Butter Lotion after drying off. It really made a difference!

Whatever you use, take care of your skin with a good moisturizer and Vitamin C Serum.

It’s really cold here in the mountains of Colorado. I’m noticing a difference in my skin. It’s dry and feels a little like sandpaper. Time to use OMG Face Mask & Scrub. At this time of the year, I like to mix it with a little milk and touch of honey and leave it on a few extra minutes. My skin is exfoliated, and really soft and smooth.
