CONDOLENCE MESSAGE
From Face of Gbagyi Niger.

Face of Gbagyi Niger received with deep sorrow the news of the death of 37 young men who died in custody of NSCDC in Minna, Niger State, after their arrest in connection with alleged mining activities around the M.I. Wushishi and Lukoto axis.

These were sons, brothers and fathers of our land. Their passing has wounded families across Minna and neighbouring communities, and it has wounded the heart of Niger State.
On behalf of the Face of Gbagyi Niger family, we extend our sincere condolences to
the families and loved ones of the deceased.

His Excellency, Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago
the traditional institutions of Minna and Niger State
the people of Wushishi, Lukoto and all affected communities
We pray that Almighty God grants the souls of the departed eternal rest, and grants their families the fortitude to bear this loss. We also pray for the speedy recovery of those still receiving treatment.

At this painful moment, we urge peace, dignity and restraint. Violence cannot return the lives that have been lost. What our people need now is truth, compassion, and a thorough investigation so that such a tragedy never happens again.
Face of Gbagyi Niger stands with the bereaved. We are one people. Their grief is our grief.
May God comfort Niger State.

Signed
Face of Gbagyi Niger.
