L’antica Dimora storica è appartenuta dalla sua origine sino al 1992 alla più antica famiglia nobiliare materana: i Conti Gattini.
Palazzo Gattini Luxury Hotel è nato con l’intento di far vivere ai propri ospiti l’esperienza di una vacanza memorabile a misura delle aspettative del cliente più esigente. Presenti in città già dall’inizio dell’anno Mille, dopo aver risieduto per qualche centinaio d’anni in un Palazzo ai margini del Sasso Barisano, si trasferirono nel nascente Palazzo vicino alla Cattedrale e il Palazzo Vescovile, ( della congiunzione a quest’ultimo vi è traccia in una delle Suites di un bellissimo portale rinascimentale). Il vecchio quartiere della Civita che sorge intorno alla Cattedrale è un quartiere molto antico già abitato dalle civiltà Greco-Romane. La semplice bellezza della facciata settecentesca di questo antico palazzo che conserva però le sue origini risalenti intorno al XV secolo, si rispecchia negli interni arredati con cura dei particolari: l’unicità di ogni ambiente è sottolineato da un approccio stilistico sempre diverso, considerando anche la sovrapposizione di epoche e stili. Ma l’aspetto che rende davvero preziosa la nostra struttura è l’estrema attenzione e professionalità del personale, interamente dedito a soddisfare le necessità e le esigenze dei propri ospiti; con l’obbiettivo di farlo sentire “a casa” ma con il plus di tutti quei servizi che difficilmente potrà ricevere “a casa”.
