Today, Sunday 4 October, daylight saving began across parts of Australia early this morning — which means those gorgeous longer evenings are officially here! 💗

But did you know not all of Australia changes its clocks? 👀

☀️ Daylight saving is observed in:
🇦🇺 NSW
🇦🇺 Victoria
🇦🇺 South Australia
🇦🇺 Tasmania
🇦🇺 ACT
🏝️ Norfolk Island
🏝️ Lord Howe Island — although they only move their clocks 30 minutes!

⏰ No daylight saving in:
Queensland
Western Australia
Northern Territory

So depending on where you live, you might be enjoying a whole extra hour of evening sunshine… or wondering what on earth everyone is talking about! 😂

For those of us in Victoria, it’s time to embrace:

🌅 Later sunsets
☀️ Longer evenings
🚶‍♀️ After-dinner walks
🍹 More time outdoors
✨ And that feeling that Summer is getting closer!

It sounds simple, but I’m surprised how often I’m asked this!

Your skincare routine doesn’t need to be complicated. The important thing is giving each step a job — and using it in the right order.

1️⃣ Cleanse — Remove makeup and impurities and get your skin ready for the next steps.

2️⃣ Tone — Refresh and prepare your skin for what comes next.

3️⃣ Treat — Serum or treatment products go here, depending on what your skin needs.

4️⃣ Moisturise — Help replenish moisture and keep your skin feeling comfortable.

5️⃣ Eye creme 👀 — Targeted care for the delicate eye area.

6️⃣ SPF ☀️ — Your daytime routine isn’t complete without sun protection.

And here’s the thing…

You don’t need every product in the bathroom. 😂

A good skincare routine is one that suits your skin, your needs and your real life — and one you’ll actually use consistently.

Walked into the ensuite to find Taylor had apparently decided Mum’s bathroom was her own little day spa… 😂

Apparently my skincare had been requisitioned for the morning.

And before anyone asks — yes, my 20-something daughter can use all of these products… and she does use some of them already. 😉

I think she may have decided that if Mum has a bathroom full of skincare, she may as well make the most of it! 😂

Honestly, I'm not complaining. If my skincare obsession has rubbed off on the kids, I'll take that as a win. ❤️

There’s something quite lovely about your kids seeing skincare as a normal part of looking after themselves — not something complicated or something they need to “fix”.
