Education has never been about standing still.
For decades, Mirella has been a driving force behind education at BIBA, influencing the learning journey of generations of hairdressers who have come through the BIBA Academy.
Her impact reaches far beyond our own teams. BIBA education has long been part of the backbone of the Victorian hair industry, helping train, develop and support hairdressers from salons across the state.
Recently, Mirella shared her experience at the , exploring what drives success in hair in 2026 and, importantly, how education must continue to evolve.
Every generation learns differently. They communicate differently, find inspiration differently and see their careers differently. Our job isn’t to expect the next generation to adapt to the way we’ve always done things. It’s to keep evolving how we teach, while holding onto the skills, standards and craft that matter.
That’s how an industry moves forward. ❤️
