Not a full journal.
Not a structured practice.
Just one thing before you close your eyes.
If you find yourself lying awake with your mind still going, this is for you.
The reason sleep feels elusive isn’t usually tiredness, it’s open loops.
Unresolved thoughts, low-level worries, things you promised yourself you’d remember. Your brain can’t switch off when it thinks there’s still work to do.
Writing one thing down closes those loops. It signals to your nervous system: this has been acknowledged. You can rest now.
It can be any one of these three:
↳ Set a worry free. Something that’s been sitting in the background, however small. Getting it out of your head and onto the page begins to release the mental tension attached to it. You’re not solving it — you’re just setting it down.
↳ Name one good thing. One thing you’re genuinely thankful for. It doesn’t need to be significant. The act of noticing the positive shifts your nervous system out of vigilance and into something quieter.
↳ Leave tomorrow a note. A problem or task that needs attention — but not tonight. Writing it down gives it a place to live outside your mind. It clears the space and gives you a clear direction when you wake.
What the women I work with notice when they do this consistently: less time lying awake, less of that wired-but-tired feeling, and clearer thinking in the morning. The research backs this up. Cognitive offloading before sleep measurably reduces pre-sleep arousal and protects the early sleep stages where so much hormonal repair actually happens.
No special notebook required.
No perfect moment.
Just one sentence, one thing, tonight.
Try it tonight and see what shifts and let me know

And it's not tissues and vitamin C. Here's what autumn immunity actually requires.
In Australia, April marks the shift into cooler, darker days. And while your immune system is preparing for winter, most women are still running on summer habits — late nights, light eating, high output.
Your body needs a different kind of support right now. Not more. Different.
Here's where I'd actually focus:
↳ Add warming soups and broths daily. Not just comforting — they're mineral-rich, gut-healing, and deeply nourishing for immune tissue. Your gut houses 70% of your immune system. Feed it accordingly.
↳ Shift your sleep earlier by 30 minutes. Melatonin production is light-dependent. As days shorten, your biology wants more overnight repair time. This one change alone shifts your immune resilience.
↳ Prioritise zinc and vitamin A now. These are your frontline immune minerals. Find them in eggs, liver, pumpkin, and quality animal protein — not supplements alone.
↳ Reduce cold raw foods after 3pm. In cooler months, your digestive fire needs warm, cooked food to stay efficient. Raw salads at dinner in autumn actively tax the gut and slow immune response.
